In light of contemporary geopolitical shifts and the evolving dynamics of U.S. foreign policy, particularly in the Persian Gulf region, the geopolitical landscape has evolved into a focal point of competition between China and the United States. This shift is primarily attributed to the region's strategic importance and its pivotal role in global energy security. This competition has precipitated pervasive geopolitical transformations and exerted a profound influence on the security dynamics of the Persian Gulf region. Given the gravity of the subject matter, the objective of this study is to examine the role of Persian Gulf countries in the geoeconomic competition between the United States and China, as well as its effects on the security of the Persian Gulf's geopolitical territory (case study: 2018-2022), employing a descriptive-analytical and applied method. The statistical population under consideration consists of all political science and geopolitical experts, with a sample size of 90 people determined based on the Cochran model. In addition to library studies, the findings were collected using the field method (questionnaire), and SPSS software and the binomial test were used to analyze the findings. The findings of the study indicated that geoeconomic competition and strategic maneuvering between the United States and China have had a discernible impact on the security dynamics of the Persian Gulf region during the period spanning from 2018 to 2022. Specifically, the strategic actions of these two major actors have contributed to the degradation of the Persian Gulf environment, intensified competition among regional stakeholders, and escalated maritime tensions between Arab countries and Iran.
